Assisted Living Home and Nursing Home Negligence Cases
At any given time there tens of thousands of Mississippians living in assisted living homes or nursing homes. Although most of these individuals are elderly, some are not. Injuries that leave a person in need of long term skilled nursing care can happen at any age. There are people who are in there forties who were victims of strokes, brain injuries or other injuries who are forced to live in assisted living or nursing homes. Although most assisted living and nursing homes have the patient’s best interest at heart, some homes put making a huge profit above the patient’s care. Profit-driven homes often neglect their residents due to under-staffing.
Profit-driven assisted living homes often take in residents who require a higher level of care than the home can provide. These individuals should be in a nursing home, which has more staffing and nursing care.

I believe that lawsuits against bad operators of assisted living and nursing homes benefit all current and future residents. When the bad operators are held responsible for their actions it leads to improved care for all residents.
